The Occupations Room

Gilbert Historical
Museum

  Explore the Past,
Experience the Present,
  Imagine the Future

Just like any other American town, Gilbert residents had to make a living. The Occupations room displays many of the "tools" that the people used in their professions.

Having deep roots in agriculture, it is not surprising that one of those professions was blacksmithing, there is a depiction of a blacksmith's place of work. Other displays include a doctor's office and a barber shop - all articles donated by Gilbert residents.
